Shane was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on February 13, 1981. Famous as the lead singer and keyboard player of the post-hardcore band Silverstein, he recorded numerous Billboard 200-ranked albums with the group, including Discovering the Waterfront (2005), Arrivals & Departures (2007), and A Shipwreck in the Sand (2009), all of which rose to Top 40 Billboard positions and to Top 5 Indie Album spots.
He and his bandmates formed Silverstein in early 2000 and released their debut EP, Summer’s Stellar Gaze, in August of that year. The band’s first studio album, When Broken Is Easily Fixed, appeared in 2003.
Did you know: He and his bandmates participated in the 2015 Vans Warped Tour and released their eighth album, I Am Alive in Everything I Touch, that same year.
