Rachel was born in Montana, United States on November 12, 1977. Civil rights activist and former Africana studies instructor who served as the Chair of the Police Ombudsman Commission and the President of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People in Spokane, Washington. She lost all three of her positions after accusations of her lying about her race surfaced publicly.
An alumnus of both Belhaven University and Howard University where she received her Masters of Fine Arts, she served as the Director of Education and Curator at the Human Rights Education Institute in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho from 2008 until 2010. She resigned amidst a series of hate crimes targeting herself and the institute.
Did you know: She was a part-time art instructor at North Idaho College from 2005 to 2013 and a part-time instructor at Eastern Washington University from 2007 to 2015.
