Nick was born in Warracknabeal, Victoria, Australia on September 22, 1957. Composer and musician best known as the frontman of Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds. He is also a writer and is the author of The Ass and the Angel. He has been inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame.
He attended the Caulfield Institute of Technology before dropping out to devote his life to music. His first band, The Birthday Party, was a frontrunner in the Australian post-punk scene.
