Mike was born in Philippines on May 8, 1976. Filipino musician who is known for being the guitarist and one of the lead vocalists for the band Rivermaya. He is also known for having played as a frontman and guitarist for the group 7 Foot Junior.

He first learned to play guitar at the age of ten. When he was 13 he formed his first band and began playing shows in 1992. In May of 2001, he was recruited to play with Rivermaya and appeared on their Tuloy ang Ligaya album in 2001.
