Meiyang was born in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India on October 6, 1982. Actor who is known for appearing in a variety of films and television shows. He is most recognized for being the host of the Indian TV series Rising Star as well as the Discovery Channel original series India’s Best Jobs.

With a passion for singing early on, he began his career in entertainment as a competitor on Indian Idol 3 in 2007. He then went on to host the series the following year. He then launched his career in film in 2010 with a role in Badmaash Company.
