Andreja was born in Tuzla on August 28, 1991. Famous for her modeling work for Marc Jacobs and Michael Michalsky, this Bosnian-born-Australian transgender woman underwent sex reassignment surgery in 2014. The following year, she became Vogue magazine’s first featured transgender model.

She was discovered by a modeling agent while she was a student at Melbourne, Australia’s University High School. Early in her career, she modeled both female and male fashions at designer Jean Paul Gaultier’s early 2011 fashion show in Paris, France.
