Shawn Johnson Baby No. 3 – The Name’s Out! Shawn Johnson East, the Olympic champ, was bracing herself. She was expecting a few hiccups when her 2-year-old son, Jett, transitioned into the role of a big brother.
The arrival of her youngest, Barrett “Bear” Madison East, on Dec. 12, had her and husband Andrew East on edge. “We were a bit jittery. Jett had shown signs that it might be a tough adjustment,” Shawn spilled the beans in an exclusive chat with E! News. “He was extra clingy and emotional.”
Fast forward seven weeks, and the picture’s changed. Jett’s taken to his baby brother like a bear to honey. “Jett’s been amazing,” the 32-year-old athlete shared. “He’s taken Bear under his wing. He’s always asking about him, even breaking out of his room to sneak into Bear’s. He’s head over heels for him, and we’re just letting him be, which is fun.”
And what about their 4-year-old daughter, Drew? She’s just as smitten. “We haven’t had to deal with any jealousy or a rough transition with them,” Shawn continued. “It’s been a smooth ride, and they’ve turned into little helpers, which is awesome.”
