So, Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa? Yeah, they’re moving on. Legally, that is.
Two years post their public breakup, Bonet’s taken the next step. She’s an alum of “A Different World,” and she’s just filed for divorce from the “Aquaman” star.
E! News got their hands on the court documents on Jan. 8. Bonet, the mother of Lola and Nakoa-Wolf, aged 16 and 15 respectively, cited “irreconcilable differences.” That’s the reason for their split.
She marked their separation date as Oct. 7, 2020. That’s a whole year before Bonet and Momoa announced they were “parting ways in marriage.”
“These transformational times,” they said. We’ve all felt it, right? The squeeze, the changes. They’re no exception. They were together for over a decade before tying the knot in 2017. They posted a joint statement on Instagram in January 2022. “A revolution is unfolding ~and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring.”
Bonet, 56, and Momoa, 44, they’re still full of love. It’s evolving, they say. “The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other – to be who we are learning to become…Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life and our children.”
They’re teaching their kids what’s possible. “Living the prayer. May love prevail.” That’s their mantra.
