The representative said, “It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action.” The couple’s privacy during the difficult period was also emphasized. TMZ first reported the news of the divorce.

Costner and Baumgartner got married in September 2004 after four years of dating. The wedding ceremony was held at Kevin Costner’s ranch outside Aspen. The couple shares three children: Cayden who is 15, Hayes who is 14, and Grace who is 12. Costner also has other children from his previous marriage with Cindy Silva and a former relationship with Bridget Rooney.

As for Costner’s professional life, he recently won a Golden Globe award for his work in “Yellowstone,” although he didn’t attend the ceremony. He explained in an Instagram video at the time that he and Baumgartner couldn’t attend due to flooding outside their Santa Barbara home. However, he expressed how much Baumgartner had wanted to support him. There have also been rumors that Costner might leave the show after season five due to production delays, but Costner and Paramount+ haven’t given a statement on the matter yet. The second half of season five hasn’t started filming yet, and it remains unclear how the writers’ strike will affect the season. In addition, Costner has begun rolling cameras on the next movie in his “Horizon: An American Saga” series.

Baumgartner is a handbag designer with her own label called Cat Bag Couture. She first met Costner in 1996 while he was rehearsing for his film “Tin Cup.” After running into each other again in 1998, they started dating.
