How Sean Lowe & Catherine Giudici Overcame Bachelor Odds

They really put their heart and soul into it. Sean’s 2015 list had it at number two, right after going all in. Those initial days were a whirlwind of secret romantic getaways and plans for their TV wedding. Sean reminisced, “Everything was so exciting.”

They were head over heels in love, unable to fathom any trouble in paradise. But reality hit hard and fast. “That naivety wore off pretty quickly once we were thrust into the real world,” he admitted.

In the real world, they grappled with each other’s idiosyncrasies. Catherine battled bouts of homesickness, exacerbated by Sean’s gruelling DWTS rehearsals. They had their fair share of struggles.

“Your relationship is going to run into issues both big and small. It’s imperative that you find a way to work through them,” Sean advised. He believed in the power of overcoming obstacles. “If you do, you’ll come out even stronger. I look at our marriage now and am amazed how much we’ve grown since those first few months of being together.”

Catherine echoed this sentiment in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. She confirmed the old adage that the first year of marriage is the toughest. “But once you go through those hardships, you grow, understand each other better and understand what you need better.”
