Disney movies don’t hold the monopoly on “happily ever after.” This is something Julie Shore and Scott Gaede can attest to. Their love story is a real-life version of The Parent Trap, with their daughters Rachel and Caroline playing crucial roles.
Julie and Scott had initially parted ways in 2014 after 17 years of wedded bliss. But, plot twist! They got hitched again on December 28, at Memorial Hall in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Rachel, their daughter, took to TikTok to share the good news. She captioned a video of her parents’ wedding day with “Successful parent trap.” She added, “Our parents are officially REmarried and we are no longer children of divorce.” Talk about a happy ending, huh?
So, what brought these lovebirds back together? Julie spilled the beans during a Today interview published on January 3. She cheekily attributed it to “forced proximity.” The couple reconnected in 2020, during the COVID-19 lockdown. She confessed, “Neither of us were looking forward to spending time together.” But, as they say, life has a funny way of surprising you.
