Amy Robach Discusses Losses Experienced During Divorce From Andrew Shue

Amy Robach joined the ABC morning show in 2012. She later took over the post-Good Morning America timeslot as the host. This happened after the series “Pandemic: What You Need to Know” was revamped into “GMA3: What You Need to Know”.

T.J. Holmes was brought on board by ABC News in 2014. He quickly became good friends with Robach and was subsequently named her co-host.

Robach had some thoughts about Holmes. “You couldn’t have picked a better person to ask me what I thought of,” she told People. She revealed they’d been trying to find a way to collaborate professionally for about five years.

Holmes is “like my brother,” Robach continued. She described their relationship as one where they can finish each other’s sentences. They get along incredibly well, which is a rarity in the industry.

“It’s so wonderful to have, again, it’s that trust,” she said. She emphasized that such trust is not always present on set. However, she knew that Holmes would always have her back, and vice versa.

Robach also let slip a personal tidbit. She and her husband, Andrew Shue, often go on double dates with Holmes and his wife, Marilee Fiebig. It seems their friendship extends beyond the professional realm.
